Where art Thou..

Hey people.

Well, I've had a tough time recently. The cat in my avatar profile (Smudge) we had to have put to sleep at the beginning of February because she had cancer. Anyway, I decided the best tribute for her was a compilation of some photos and music, which you can view here www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGZgmG… Time is a great healer though and I treasure the time she spent with us.

Chelsea

On me head son..

The glorious blues of Chelsea, put Liverpool and Arsenal OUT of two major trophies in 5 days. Them being the Champions league and the FA Cup respectively. The FA Cup is the oldest association football competition in the world. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Cup

So, for a celebration of Chelsea's great performances, i love this guys work from, would you believe, CHELSEA!!!

Weekend off/Football/Photography

What the shit do i t ype in this bit? header

Yay it's my long weekend which means i get Saturday, Sunday and Monday off, woohoo! Soo, lots of time down the local watering hole watching the football and, time for photography.

Some of you know that i broken my left elbow earlier this year, May to be exact. Well, it's still pretty sore but it's coming on fine. Still can't quite straighten my arm yet but it's only 10-15 degrees out so not too bad. Got some pics on my mobile of me with it in the cast which i might post later, hey yay or nay?

I've had a great week on DA and some really great comments. I'm trying to CSS up my jounal at sometime to link better to other Deviants but till then this will do. Macro/Micro/Football!

Yeah, got myself a Macro lens, or as Nikon/Nikkor call it, micro. To give it it's full name - AFS VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED

Microphotography, I've done some quick and dirty shots, just testing it out. Jesus, my lack of skill in this field is astounding. Light wind and forgetting my tripod plate doesn't help either.

Not an easy lens to use though. Great at portraits also with the VR/IS, but i definately need some focusing rails for the tripod to assist in extreme closeups.

And changing the subject slightly, Football/Soccer. Croatia 1 - England 4 www.independent.co.uk/sport/fo… What an inspiring performance!. Not often can we say that about our boys but they done us proud

Red Arrows

I thought the Red Arrows display was the 28th, duh.
So i'm lying in bed and WHOOSH look out the window and just catch the tail end of the Arrows. So i leg it down there and catch the last 10 minutes. We need at least an hour of the Red Arrows for us photographers to practise.
25 minutes aint enough guys/gals.

I blame it on the bank holiday/body clock syndrome

Bummer. Summer. Shit.
