Artist's Comments

I wasn't sure how this would turn out but pretty pleased with it.

I took 3 shots for the panoramic and then bracketed 3 exposures each, so 9 shot's altogether. I then stitched 3 exposures at -1, 0 and +1 in CS3. This gave me the panoramic shot at the 3 different exposures ready to process in Photomatix Pro.

In the image; on the left is the entrance to Knightstone island with the causeway leading down into the harbour. Various pubs, Harbour bar, Smiths hotel, Nicks bar and the old Colonial. The large building just off centre is Weston technical college followed by the low domed Winter gardens. And finally, on the far right, the remains of the Grand Pier pavillion, destroyed by a huge fire earlier this year [link]

More info; the 3 shots that came out of CS3 to go into Photomatix, were.... 136 mb each, so a 408 mb image alltogether :wow:

Thanks mate. Do you remember the single frame shot similar to this i posted a while back? The boats have moved a little, but that goddam white van on the left hasn't moved at all!

My next idea is stitching 9 shots together like this
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
to give a really high and wide view. That shot is gonna be equivalent to a camera with a 108.9 Megapixel sensor
